UV Tanning: What is this treatment?

UV tanning, or sunbed tanning, is a widespread bronzing method using machines emitting ultraviolet rays. Modern tanning beds and booths typically emit 95% UVA and 5% UVB rays - equivalent to summer sunlight.

This method works through natural stimulation of melanin production, the pigment responsible for skin coloration. Thus, results are natural and long-lasting compared to temporary alternatives.

At our institute, we offer two machine types: the Tower Energy and K7S - a premium booth and tanning bed featuring latest technologies like red light therapy.

How does a session work?

Before starting, our team explains the booth operation and provides special protective goggles.

Depending on your choice, relax either lying on the sunbed or standing in the UV booth while the machine works.

What to expect from a UV session?

Results aren't immediate; typically take 24-48 hours for a natural, light, even tan.

3-5 sessions for noticeable tanning. 8-12 sessions for deep, lasting color, followed by regular maintenance.

UV Tanning: Contraindications

• Skin Type I (very fair skin that never tans)

• Personal/family history of melanoma

• Photosensitizing medications (antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, diuretics)

• Pregnant or breastfeeding women

• Under 18 years old

• Numerous atypical moles or pigmentation spots

• Skin disorders (lupus, vitiligo, eczema)

How long between sessions?

Wait at least 48 hours to allow skin development and recovery.

Difference between UV tanning and Spray tanning?

UV tanning stimulates melanin via UV rays for real tanning; Spray tanning uses DHA to color skin's surface without UV exposure.

How to prolong tan duration?

Moisturize daily; avoid harsh exfoliants and hot showers.

Sunburn protection?

Tanning provides limited protection (SPF 2-4) but doesn't replace sunscreen.
